Walk Through the Bible with Tom Ellicott (Prayer Chapel)
Individuals of all ages are welcome to attend Tom Ellicott’s class in the Prayer Chapel. The Fall study will focus on “The Story of the Old and the New Testaments.” This lesson is the beginning of a “flyover” view of the entire Bible and will hit the main points of the Old and New Testaments. This is a great time to begin attending Life Center and growing in the Word with other brothers and sisters in Christ!
NEW Sunday Morning Life Center Class beginning Feb. 28:
Sherry Roos is very excited to lead a Sunday Morning Life Center class for moms titled, “Mom Set Free.” The study will begin on Sunday, February 28 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM in Room 104.
Today moms are under constant pressure to get it right in all areas of life (work, home, family, and faith). We feel the pressure because our children's futures hinge on our ability to perfectly orchestrate the present. But these impossible standards leave mothers oscillating between worry, fear, anger, and shame. They threaten to steal all the wonder from parenting, life, and our personal relationship with God. Discover how the gospel message can empower moms to parent in the freedom of God's sovereignty. This study will help moms breathe deeper, walk lighter, and enjoy their children and the parenting journey more than ever before. Please sign up at the Welcome Center or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know you plan to attend.
Opportunities for Prayer on Sundays
9:30 - 9:40 AM - Personal Prayer in the Sanctuary
5:00 - 6:00 PM - Intercessory Prayer in the Atrium
Due to the ongoing social distancing due to Covid, we want to incorporate more prayer but want to do it in a safe manner for everyone. In addition to the above options, prayer is always available at the conclusion of the 9:45 AM service. Please come to the front of the Sanctuary to request prayer. We want to be mindful of others and their health but we welcome those who do want to receive personal prayer. Thank you for your understanding!
Each month the Heritage Ministries (those 60 and older) get together for a special activity or event. There are bus trips, picnics, Hawaiian Luaus, guest speakers, etc. This group is not exclusive and everyone is welcome to attend and participate in the events. What a great place to make new friendships and re-connect with old friends.
Heritage Ministries (for individuals ages 60 and up)
The Heritage Ministries will not host an event in January or February. Check back at a later date for dates for 2021.
You can call or email the Church Office at (717) 359-4675 or Don and Toni Greene at (717) 642-8118 with any questions.
All events begin at 10:30 AM on the second Wednesday of every month in the Atrium unless otherwise noted.
