Freedom

7/4/2016

The greatest freedom that one can experience is found in the person, death and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Freedom secured in and through Christ, is freedom from the enslavement to moral depravity and it's inseparable guilt. Such emancipation does not issue a license to indulge the dark attitudes and behaviors of past enslavement or to continue in it under another name or premise. Not only is a believer set free from that which leads to the deepest form of enslavement and impoverishment but is granted access to the riches of God's glory through Jesus Christ.
John 8:36
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Ephesians 2:6-7

6 God raised us up from death when He raised up Christ Jesus. He has given us a place with Christ in the heavens. 7 He did this to show us through all the time to come the great riches of His loving-favor. He has shown us His kindness through Christ Jesus.

Truth

7/2/2016

An actor playing a role once famously said, "You can't handle the truth."
Truth isn't something that we resort to when it favors our point of view. Its pain produces character in the lives of those whose desire for personal refinement is greater than the confidence of careless or selective ignorance. The Lord always provides the Grace needed when the truth is not convenient.
John 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is truth.

True Miracle

7/1/2016

Sometimes the miracle is not about what we have gained or what we have lost, what we have been kept from or what we have been brought through, but it is always about the refinement of our disposition, the deepening of our appreciation and the comprehension of the truth that everyday is a gift from God and that the days behind us are reminders to encourage us to trust the One who gave us this gift of life, who owes us nothing and yet bestows upon us the riches of His grace. The true Miracle is that we are awakened to gratitude and thanksgiving toward the one who gave us this day.
