Grasping for the wind

10/11/2016

Sometimes there are those things that we devote ourselves to knowing, having, or experiencing, that demand a disproportionate amount of personal investment compared to their real value. At the end of such pursuit, we are often left disappointed and depleted rather than fulfilled. Solomon compares it to grasping for the wind and he calls is vanity. (Ecclesiastes)

The things of the greatest value are the things that have been freely given to us by a Loving God. They present themselves to us every day. Things rich in Faith, Hope, and Love never leave one disappointed and depleted. In Christ is found perfect satisfaction all the time, every time.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. - 1Corinthians 13:13
11 Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, 12 behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, ......... - 1 Kings 3:11-12

The Resurrected Son of God

10/8/2016

In radiance and with the scent of Heaven fresh upon Him, the resurrected Son of God stood in scarred flesh before those who needed a reason to believe . The Resurrection sealed the deal. It always does.
John 20
19 That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! “Peace be with you,” he said. 20 As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord!

Next Up

10/5/2016

The critical moment will come when necessity will call upon you to step into a role beyond your comfort and perhaps your confidence level, to serve as the next man / woman up.

You are never God's choice by default. These are the moments that God has created you for.

In Christ you are always a champion.

Hebrews 13:20-21
20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Sit on His shoulders

10/4/2016

If you're looking up at a tall task or challenge God doesn't mind if you sit on His shoulders.

Psalm 61:2-3
2From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy.

No weapon formed against you will prosper

10/3/2016

May each child of God refuse to be defeated by an inferior enemy and may we know that every weapon that he has formed against God's children is riddled with inherent and fatal flaws. No weapon formed against against God's elect shall prosper and Greater is He that dwells in the body of Christ, greater than all persecution, adversity, discouragement, temptation, and devilish schemes. When the accuser comes remind him that God-s grace is greater than your sin, God love for you is greater then hell's contempt , God's truth is Stronger than the lies that Satan authors against you, and God's presence is Greater than any obstacle that Satan places in your path. As a believer you always win because of Christ within you.
