Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Today is the tomorrow that you prayed about yesterday. Whatever you knew was coming today or whatever unknowns may be visited upon your day it is covered in Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. What would our world look like if the church looked more like Jesus? Faith in action can inspire a chain reaction of good will.
The most powerful sermons are not the products of great human oratory, exposition, or dramatic flair, presented on a stage beneath the steeple of a church. The best sermons are lived on the stage of daily life by everyday people who love Jesus Christ and who walk among the churched and unchurched in real love, whose actions, and reactions are tempered and refined by the Holy Spirit. No matter the skill, the messenger's greatest message is the one that he or she delivers at the feet of others in Jesus' name. Jesus Christ is the message. He is the only message. In Him the fullness of the godhead dwells bodily.
As much as I may ponder what Jesus will look like when I see Him face to face, other important questions may be, "What does He see when he looks into my heart?" Who does He see enthroned there, He or I?"
Jesus' Words were redemptive, saturated with grace and truth, a Divine blend of sublime Revelation. He spoke the language of heaven to those ground into the dust of the earth lifting them upon the wings of His Transcendent Truth. He still speaks! He lifts me!
John 6:63 "..... The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." - Jesus The Christ Separation unto God does not require insulation from those who need Him. The body of Christ has been directed to engage people who have become disengaged from "church." Are we protecting (burying) our God given resources rather than focusing on or investing prayerfully in the Holy Spirit driven expansion of His kingdom? The kingdom of God is dynamic and alive in Christ, focused on reaching and ministering to people rather than hunkering down behind the walls of religious self preservation. The Lord is indestructible and what He builds, He champions and He advances.
Isaiah 9:6-8 6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Medical studies reveal that the frontal lobe of the brain controls speech and behavioral inhibition. Yet the Bible shows us that the attitudes that form our words and actions, and the measure of judgment and personal restraint demonstrated in their expression when said or done with sound mind reveal the condition of the heart.
Luke 6:45 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. |
