If you're tired of trying to be someone other than who God has so masterfully created you to be and you're weary of trying to walk in someone else's shoes, take them off and put on the only shoes that you were ever intended to wear - YOUR OWN. As the Holy Spirit birthed you into spiritual life, Christ in you will match your feet to the shoes that God has prepared for you. HIS DNA in your soul determines the size of the shoes that you are made to walk or run in. When determining whose shoes you are going to try to wear, don't allow those who underestimate or overlook you, those who belittle Christ's workmanship in you, to make that determination.
John the Baptist knew who he was and he knew who he wasn't. He knew that he was not worthy to loosen the laces of Christ's sandals and he certainly didn't fixate on trying to wear them. Instead he wore the footwear consistent with the needs of a man who was ordained by God to run announcing in advance the coming of the Christ whose sandals he was unworthy to untie. Additionally, as a gift from God he is the recipient of an extravagant robe of pure white perfectly tailored in the hands of Grace and Truth.
What a great deal - that those who love the Lord should be afforded shoes that are perfectly fitted for the journey and a spectacular garment at the end of it.
