Often we find the insulation of sameness and predictability to be of great comfort, but the value of change and the unknown (to us) offers a great stage upon which God reveals Himself in the journey. When we view boredom and monotony as lesser evils than the unknown and change we downsize our view of God and we worship at the altar of fear. He knows the way, because He created it as well as the destination.
Exodus 14:12
Didn’t we tell you this would happen while we were still in Egypt? We said, ‘Leave us alone! Let us be slaves to the Egyptians. It’s better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness!'
Exodus 3:8
So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.
