When storms come it really is not the why that I most need to know, it is you Lord, that I must know, that I may discern my own conflicted heart. My ears may hear the howling winds of many voices, but bring me to clarity through repentance and brokenness, that I may hear the one voice that matters most.
When I am offended help me to not tear at the wounds within my heart that Jesus died to heal. Jesus, my hope and my life, is always more, when I've reached my end. I believe that you Lord God are real.
The devil will offers his sympathies to those who choose death instead of life. He will attempt to lead the wounded down the road of self pity even as the Holy Spirit leads to repentance.
Charles Spurgeon said, "The door of repentance opens into the hall of joy."
Job 42
42 Then Job answered the Lord and said:
2 “I know that You can do everything,
And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’
Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand,
Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.
4 Listen, please, and let me speak;
You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’
5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear,
But now my eye sees You.
6 Therefore I abhor myself,
And repent in dust and ashes.”
