PERSONAL GROWTH OBJECTIVES AS A BELIEVER IN 2017 - CONSIDERING OTHERS.

12/6/2016

In Christ, I will esteem others from a position of humility. There are those who walk among us, whose sense of worth has been diminished, (without restoration) following personal failure and through personal injury due to rejection from those from whom affirmation was most desired. Only through Christ's love and humility can I encourage restoration among the broken.

There are those who choose to walk in defeat, in Christ I will not be an accessory to their self destruction by offering my services as a tour guide in the land of the blues.

In Christ, I will not poison the wells that others draw from. In speaking well of others I will prevent those wells from being tainted through personal maliciousness and manipulation.

In Christ, I will refuse to injure the reputation of others, knowing that to do so, reveals a much greater weakness of character than the deficiencies in others that I may be eager to point out.

In Christ, as a servant leader may I choose to serve others honorably. God establishes each one in the place of his or her calling. Love doesn't seek to divide and conquer but to unite and to serve.

In Christ, I will encourage other believers within my sphere of influence, demonstrating the grace that God has extended to me, not insulting others with unfavorable comparisons, understanding that the only shoes that they are called to fill are the ones that God has created for them to walk in.

Colossians 3:12-14
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
