Truth

7/2/2020

An actor playing a role once famously said, "You can't handle the truth."
Truth isn't something that we resort to when it favors our point of view. Its pain produces character in the lives of those whose desire for personal refinement is greater than the confidence of careless or selective ignorance. The Lord always provides the Grace needed when the truth is not convenient.

John 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is truth.

Heart Tour

Setting out to know one's heart can present a challenge that weighs against the prayerful and unbiased introspection that brings things deeply embedded to light. At times the affections and attitudes of the heart when laid bare may reveal duplicity. Being shown and confronting the strongholds that compromise the spiritual health of the heart can be blissfully overlooked, extremely hard to acknowledge, and bitterly distasteful to resistant pride.

Thank God our Father, who gave His Only Begotten and sent The Holy Spirit, that the eyes of His children might be opened and that freedom be joyfully known. In Christ we are delivered from those things which hinder the advancement of His kingdom at the deepest personal level. Thank God for His Grace.

Time and Timeless

10/18/2018

Yesterday held the door for Today to walk through and Tomorrow awaits just beyond the midnight threshold.
Throughout the seasons of life we have tasted times past and now time present. The Future, however, is known and revealed only by the One whose existence is not defined or measured by time. Timeless and eternal, infinite, and unchanging, is our Heavenly Father. His mercies are new every morning. And yes indeed,

" Great is His faithfulness." - Jesus is Lord!

Dream Again

If through a shattered lens of failed expectation, you only see the wreckage of profound disappointment, then against the counsel of fear, dare to dream again. If life doesn't look like the picture your dreams have inspired, your heavenly father calls upon you to dream again. It is safe to dream because He is near. As you rest in the arms of your Heavenly Father, He whispers over you, declaring His unbreakable promises to your future. Shattered dreams reveal the fragile nature of nearly all things, swept away by the winds of time and change, but for God's Word, from which is given, perfect peace and the boldness to dream our Father's heart.

16 Moreover He called for a famine in the land;
He destroyed all the provision of bread.
17 He sent a man before them--
Joseph--who was sold as a slave.
18 They hurt his feet with fetters,
He was laid in irons.
19 Until the time that his word came to pass,
The word of the Lord tested him.
20 The king sent and released him,
The ruler of the people let him go free.
21 He made him lord of his house,
And ruler of all his possessions,
22 To bind his princes at his pleasure,
And teach his elders wisdom.

Psalm 105:16-22

The Blade

10/15/2018

The Divine's blade cuts where harmful adhesions have formed. He infallibly separates truth from falsehood, light from Darkness, and life from death. The Discernment imparted is that which is honed to the precision of the Masters blade, that the Heavenly Father's children may be armed with understanding and able to discern the separation of Truth from falsehood, light from darkness, and life from death.

Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

Getting There

The significance of the journey is not limited to reaching the destination but is also found in the presence of the footprints left behind for those who will set out thereafter. The footsteps are not ours but belong to our Lord. His footprints are the larger ones and ours are centered in His.

1 Corinthians 11:1
11 1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

Download

Discernment requires a mechanism through which accurate information is identified and processed. A proven download into the mechanism is required for true discernment to operate. A believer's spirit is the mechanism and God's Word is the download. Through The Holy Spirit flows the infallible current which makes the mechanism and the download function as one..
Hebrews 5:14
But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

Lucky Bounces or Not

10/1/2018

The scriptures reveal that life is not determined by the lucky bounces. It is not a series of magical moments carried by fortuitous tailwinds of unknown origin. Each day is carried and ordered by divine providence and is miraculous. Some believe that providence and the miraculous are two unrelated aspects of God's nature and workings. But God in His providential nature is the miraculous and the miraculous is more than an individual act of provision or intervention. It is the mysterious, incomprehensible, infinite, and sublime nature of God. There is no need to trust in four leaf clovers as we stand upon the Words of Christ revealed in the Four Gospels.

Psalm 139:5-6
5 You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too great for me to understand!

Acts 17:27-28
“in him we live and move and have our being”

God help us, that we don't simply pray for You to show us where to run away to in the face of adversity but rather how to stand.

Faith

9/18/2018

Faith in the Almighty releases the heavy heart into the higher elevations of Divine Truth and Love where man is undone and made anew in our heavenly Father's transcendent and transforming Glory. Jesus The Christ!

Hebrews 11:3
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
